The Indigenous Friendship Centre Program (IFCP) is funded through the Urban Programming for Indigenous Peoples – Organisational Capacity (UPIP-OC) stream of funding. The program provides core funding to Friendship Centres to maintain a stable base of operations from which to deliver culture-based programs/services to urban Indigenous peoples and communities. Core funding covers the day-to-day operating costs of an organisation, such as staffing of key positions, program/financial reports, utilities, rent, etc. Eligible recipients for funding are Not-for-Profit Indigenous Friendship Centres in Ontario.
