
Indigenous Courtworkers: assist Indigenous adults and youth charged with a criminal offense under the Criminal Code of Canada; separating couples; and parents involved in child welfare matters to better understand their rights, options and responsibilities when appearing before the courts.
- Criminal Courtworkers: guide Indigenous adults and youth charged with a criminal offense to navigate the court process. The program assists accused offenders to better understand their rights, options and responsibilities when appearing before the courts through the guidance of a Courtworker.
- Family Courtworkers: assist Indigenous youth involved in the criminal justice system, separating couples involved in family court, and Indigenous families dealing with child welfare matters to navigate the court process.
- Combined Courtworkers do both the work of a Criminal and Family Courtworker and is directed by the needs of the community.
