Building upon the success of the Trauma-Informed Schools Toolkit produced in 2015 — which is being used in public schools across Ontario — we have developed a training course for principals, superintendents and other leaders within school systems.
This course is an accredited 25-hour professional development module. The first iteration was delivered in collaboration with the Ontario Principals’ Council (OPC) in July 2019. It was created with input from Indigenous students and gives leaders practical tools and approaches to support a safe and accepting school environment.
