2014 – ongoing
This project was funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). It documented our cultural approaches and knowledge, which is being compiled into the forthcoming book: “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Knowledge Transfer in Urban Indigenous Communities.”
It has also produced exciting digital products across communities. The Timmins Native Friendship Centre hosted knowledge transfer gatherings, N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre has created digital stories, and the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre has created a short film about their Friendship Centre’s history and future.
