Breaking Free, Breaking Through, co-designed with the Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA), asks Indigenous women to share what led them to not only leave abusive and violent relationships, but to ‘break free’ permanently. 

Women from five communities – Fort Frances, Hamilton, Ottawa, Timmins and Thunder Bay – used arts-based methods and storytelling to share their experiences. The result: What they shared can have positive implications for future policies.
